H.O.P.E.

The Health Occupations Preparation and Exploration (HOPE) program curriculum is designed for students in sixth grade through ninth grade who are expected to enroll in a health care science technology program in high school. The purpose of the HOPE program is to longitudinally provide a curriculum of health career promotional activities and lessons that will assist and prepare students to achieve their dreams of becoming health career professionals.

 Through interactive enrichment sessions, hands-on activities, and field trips, the HOPE program focuses on the following areas:

    Health career exploration

    Healthy lifestyle habits

    Self-esteem building

    Leadership skills

    Academic achievement

    College preparation

    Interviewing

    Teamwork

    Impromptu speaking

    Self exploration

The HOPE curriculum is designed to provide educators with eight one-and-a-half hour sessions of health career promotion activities for grades sixth through ninth that focus on interactive modules of communication, health career awareness, health education, medical terms, self empowerment and many more.
